I spend a lot of energy transforming a house into a home. I am a nester. Home is my refuge, maybe because I moved so much
as a young girl — I lived in 17
houses during my elementary and high school years alone! With each move, I learned that if I organized and surrounded myself with my things, soon it would feel like home.
In my adult life, I have bought and sold many houses and helped family and friends organize and sell theirs. I learned how to show houses to their best advantage. My friends and family claim that I have a talent for using space, choosing color and adding drama with texture. I stage my own house every day for living. I don’t like clutter and the main theme of my house is hospitality. I want it to say, “Come sit down and be comfortable.”
When Liz and I decided to start SpaceLift, I brought my strong organizational skills to the partnership. My career has been wonderful and varied—working in public relations, women’s health, training, project management and education. I currently own a communications consulting business. You can check it out at www.loisbrittoncommunications.com.
In preparing to start this business, Liz and I became certified home redesigners and real estate stagers. All of our education, work experience and instincts gave us the background to be successful at this new adventure that we love!

As a child, I always had an interest in interior spaces. This led me on my college path, where I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture. I found that I
had a strong aptitude for interior space planning.
When I moved to Colorado, I worked for a high-end furniture store as a design consultant. My creativity definitely came into play here, when I got the chance to help several families redesign their spaces with new furniture and great layout plans. I thrived in that environment. I was soon offered a new opportunity to grow with a full service interior design firm in Vail, Colorado. This was an amazing opportunity. I did space planning, furniture placement, material selection, fabric selection and much more. With this experience, I learned the importance of great design and great functionality of a home.
When I moved to the Boulder area, I decided to get my real estate license. Helping people find a house they love was a way to share my passion and my love for architecture and homes.
Getting into the real estate field helped me realize that I could help clients even more! I could help them find their house, but then I could help them make it feel like home. That is when my partner Lois and I decided to create SpaceLift. We thought it would be wonderful to help families love their homes by creating wonderful, functional spaces or to help sellers create a beautiful, functional home for their potential buyers. I am excited to offer you my creativity and design experience.
